El francés Alexis Masbou ha conseguido la primera pole position de la temporada del Campeonato del Mundo de Moto3 tras marcar la mejor vuelta en los entrenamientos oficiales del Gran Premio de Qatar.

En una sesión emocionante, los más jóvenes y los más veteranos se enfrascaron en una intensa pelea por la primera posición, en la que tanto Masbou, como Viñales y Antonelli (los pilotos de la primera fila), sorprendieron a los dominadores del fin de semana, Kent y Oliveira, quienes saldrán noveno y octavo respectivamente.

Fabio Quartararo también destacó en esta sesión, siendo candidato a la pole durante toda la manga, firmando finalmente la sexta posición, compartiendo la segunda fila con Bagnaia (gran última vuelta) y el británico McPhee.

En la tercera fila, Locatelli acompañará a Oliveira y Kent, con Efrén Vázquez en la décima posición.  Navarro terminó 14º, Guevara y Martín 24º y 25º y María Herrera partirá desde la 32ª posición.
